The view from the rooftop terrace was absolutely stunning, especially during sunset. The location was also very convenient, close to many restaurants and just a short walk to the main attractions. Additionally, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, providing excellent recommendations and always wearing a smile.

One major drawback was the unreliable internet connection. It would often drop out during the afternoon and evening, which was quite frustrating.

The value for money at La Smala was outstanding! The double room with a private bathroom and sea view was worth every penny. Some of the bathrooms were not clean and the sheets were not always changed after guests had slept in the beds. the rooms did not lock securely and getting belongings into the top bunk lockers was difficult.

We had the most amazing stay at La Smala! The view from our room was incredible, overlooking the ocean and the ancient canons. Watching the sunset from the roof terrace was breathtaking. The staff, especially Guka, were extremely helpful and even arranged a fun quad bike experience for us along the beach. The location was perfect, close to the best restaurants in the medina and just a short walk to the Kasbah and the beach. I highly recommend this hostel for anyone visiting Essaouira.
